Industrial Low-intensity, medium-intensity and high-intensity aircraft warning lights for buildings and chimney to warn aircrafts.

Aircraft warning light, also called aviation obstruction light, aviation light, obstruction light, aviation light for towers, led obstruction light, tower aircraft warning lights for buildings, faa obstruction lighting, tower obstruction lighting, led aviation light, faa lighting, aviation light for building, airport obstruction lights, led aircraft warning lights on towers, faa tower lighting, low intensity obstruction light, obstruction light airport, aircraft obstruction light, faa obstruction marking and lighting, medium intensity obstruction light, led aviation obstruction light, obstruction lights aviation, aircraft warning, high intensity obstacle lights, obstacle light aviation, red obstruction light, tower aviation light, led aircraft warning lights, icao obstruction light. flight light obstruction light, aviation light fixtures, tower aircraft warning lights.

Warning lights aircraft are designed for passing aircrafts to be visible for tall structures like on-and offshore wind turbines, high rise buildings and chimneys need to be marked with products like obstruction lights. Obstruction light products ensure visibility and safety during day and night and even in challenging weather conditions like fog, haze, rain, snow etc.

Main Usage

Aircraft Warning Light

SUREALL emergency and portable light including emergency lighting and portable light, now we are explain the usage of these two kinds based on function and application as below.

Function

Aircraft warning light produce flashing light to warn the existence of obstruction structure for aircraft, depends on the height of obstruction, different types of aircraft warning light should be installed.

Application

Telecommunication towers, chimneys, smoke stacks, high-rise buildings, large bridges, port machinery, construction machinery, wind turbines and other industries.

At What Height Are Aircraft Warning Lights Required

Basic Knowledge

The configuration of aviation obstruction lights should first consider the height of obstacles or buildings, and all the height of structure in meters is calculated from above of ground level.

High-intensity obstruction lights are recommended on structures with a height of more than 150m.

In the case of an object to be lighted, one or more low-, medium- or high-intensity obstruction lights should be located as close as possible to the top of the object. For chimney and other similar structures, the top light should be located at a sufficiently low position below the top to minimize contamination by smoke.

For a large object or a group of dense objects that should be illuminated, aviation obstruction lights must be set up to indicate the basic outline of the object: the arrangement and quantity should be able to identify obstacles from each azimuth and should not be covered by any part of the obstructions

FAQs About Aircraft Warning Light

Q

What are obstruction lights?

A

Obstruction light, or aircraft warning light, is a light specifically designed to illuminate the position of tall buildings, high-rise tower, and any other high height objects to avoid the interfere with aircrafts. SUREALL AWL-L series low intensity aircraft warning light can be installed in low height of buildings to remind the aircrafts the existence of obstruction.

Q

Why do tall buildings have red lights on top?

A

The red lights on top of tall buildings are aircraft warning light, the reason why red light is because aircraft warning light normal produce red light to warn and remind the aircrafts the location of the tall buildings and how to control the distance to the tall buildings, SUREALL AWL-M series medium intensity aircraft warning light can provide red color light for warning function.

Q

At what height does a tower need a light?

A

200 feet, according to lighting requirements of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and International Civil Aviation Organization(ICAO) lighting requirements, all structures including towers exceeding 200 feet above ground level (AGL) must be appropriately marked with aircraft warning light. SUREALL AWL-H series high intensity aircraft warning light can be used for almost 500 feet height.

Q

Why are aircraft warning lights red?

A

Red has the longest wavelength than any other color, it is obvious to see in the dark than the color blue and easier for pilots to spot them from above, besides, Red light does not interfere with your night vision,so that aircraft warning lights are designed to produce red light to as warning to aircraft.

Q

How do you install an aviation light?

A

Depends on different obstructions structure such as buildings, tower, the aviation light can be installed 1.5-3m under the top of obstructions. When the height of the obstruction is more than 150 meters, the obstruction light can be located within 7.5 meters under the top of the obstructions.

As one of hazardous lighting manufacturers, we will do our best to meet all the needs of customers.
